: Select "Main" (or "All") and click "SET" or "Execute" . A "A function was finished" popup should appear.

Turn the printer off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on normally. The error light should be gone, and the printer should function normally.

Using one of these tools is a two-step process: putting your printer into and then using the software to reset the counter.

Canon printers contain a pad or tank at the bottom that collects waste ink during cleaning cycles. To prevent the printer from overflowing and causing damage to your desk or internal components, the manufacturer sets a maximum page count (counter).
