The film follows a veteran sea captain, Hunter Shaw (Ian Ziering), as he battles a supernatural outbreak threatening his small island community. After an earthquake hits the ocean floor, it triggers a series of tsunamis that unearth hundreds of zombies with from a sunken ship, remnants of a secret government experiment. Now, a ragtag group of locals must band together to survive the "surfing dead" and prevent the horde from reaching the mainland.
