A 3.85mm lens is incredibly short. This indicates that the camera uses a very small imaging sensor (often a 1/3-inch or 1/4-inch sensor, similar to those found in smartphones or webcams).
Try to physically move closer to your subject instead of using the maximum 10x digital zoom. If you must zoom, stick to 2x or 3x to preserve image sharpness.
