Beyond the United States, even more egregious examples of online teenage exploitation can be found. In Liberia, viral social media skits increasingly feature children being used as performers in adult-themed content. Four-year-old Pinato, with a bright smile, is made to deliver lines about romantic relationships and adult behavior, joking about being a "girlfriend" and using sexually suggestive language. Her uncle, who manages her page, admitted the content is for financial benefit, stating, "We actually help each other" and that larger profits could be made if the page were monetized in the US. This is the online entertainment industry at its most predatory: the wholesale conversion of a child's innocence into a consumable product for a global audience.
